It is a very interesting idea -- I really don't want to be stuck with a credit I may/may not use but I guess it is better than overpaying and getting nothing out of it if prices drop.

Spirit Air wants $586 r/t. Ouch!!

I tried Yapta and the best flight I found right now is $510. I think I may wait this out a week or two to see if rates fall. I certainly don't think they can go much higher!?! If they do, I am be getting a surfboard and I will start my paddling now.

Airfare Predictions

We have just booked our villa for STJ (june 21-28) and are starting to look for reasonable flights from the Washington, DC area. Last year, we paid about $350 r/t for a direct flight on United. However, this year (so far) the cheapest I have found has been $480 on american w/1 stop in SJU(the same d...

Thanks. I think I need to expand my horizons a little and try someplace new. I am excited about staying at Acqua Blu which is a brand new property and looks fantastic.

I can always stay in CB next year....

On your first day there, you are going to be very tired from all the travel and probably want to go to somewhere low-key and save the nice places (zozo's, etc) for later in the week.

Disoriented Coral Bay Lover

After several years of renting in Coral Bay, it appears that my group wants to try something new and rent a very nice property -- Acqua Blu -- on Boatman's Point (by Klein/Monte Bay) on the south shore. I am not normally one to rock the boat, but I am a little concerned about losing the peace and la...

Finally off to STJ -- thanks to all

We are off to paradise tomorrow morning and I just wanted to thank everyone for all their great advice and tips. This is only our second trip (of many more to come) and I already feel like a "local" with all the great stuff I have learned on this forum in the last year or so. Although I am...

The whole thing sounds really shady that they would override a veto despite the strong opposition voiced by STJ citizens and other groups. However, if there is any truth to the developer's contention that he would lose his financial support(and presumably go belly up) if the variance was not permitt...

We have rented from Noah's Little Arks but are going with Calypso this year since they are nicer boats with larger engines and will save you so much time on the water and give you more relaxation time on the beach.

We have 3yr old twins and we are so thankful to our grandparents who are brave enough to watch our little "angels" for a week so we can get a much needed vacation!

We hope to bring them along in a few years when they are older.
