Re: Help - where to buy an underwater camera on island

Thanks JJ - so after we came back today hubby tried my camera and it is back working again, not sure if it will last but between that and my new disposable that I got at Trunk, I may be all set.

Thanks for everyone's help.

Re: Help - where to buy an underwater camera on island

We happened to go to Trunk today and we got a disposable underwater one for $21.
I'll try Chelsea drug too. I looked at Low Key yesterday but they did not have underwater ones.
Jim - where are these places you mentioned, I haven't heard or seem any of these?

Help - where to buy an underwater camera on island

Can anyone tell me if there is a place to buy cameras on STJ? I am on island now and my camera decided to stop working and I would like to see if I can find anything here. I would settle for a disposable one for now but would really prefer it to be an underwater one. Thanks for any help you might be...

Re: Anyone to Share a Charter in October?

Thanks for the responses guys. As it turns out, I probably will not do the charter. I found out from Sue at Palm Tree that they no longer go to the Baths and in addition to the charter fee the price of gas is another $150-$200. I really wanted to see the Baths and the Caves so I think we might have ...

Re: Camera on a pole.

That's interesting because I have a pole but never thought of using it in the water that way. Since it doesn't take much space, maybe I'll bring it and see how that works. Plus I can probably stick it in the sand and then take pictures of hubby and I as we never seem to get any pictures of us on the...

Anyone to Share a Charter in October?

I know it may be a little last minute but I would like to do a charter with Palm Tree Charters but the price is a little steep for just hubby and I so if anyone else will be around, we'd love to split the cost. We are on island from Oct 13-27 and Sue from Palm Tree told me she currently has the foll...

Water guy - good idea to post for others to join. I will remember that if I find something that fits.

Re: Fishing questions

Hey Fisheye - thanks.
I'm not sure if we'll actually do it but I thought it was interesting to find mention of it in the book so thought I would ask around.
Hubby loves to fish so I do really try to get something in for him during our trips.

Anyway, thanks again fr the response

Fishing questions

Hey all - I have been watching the forum for a while now as hubby and I visiting STJ in October. I have also just finished reading through Gerald Signer's book "St John Off The Beaten Track" and there are a couple mentions of areas where one may fish for bonefish. So, I'm wondering if A) I...
