Coral Rays is great. Our family of 5 stayed there in 2005. The views are great. The road was quite hairy but has since been paved so not bad at all. There are many steps from main pod down to 2 beautiful master bedrooms both with full baths. The other 2 bedrooms are connected with a bath and are on ...

The first bar sounds like Rumblines with the alley and the swings. The second one in the trees and all the decks has got to be Banana Deck. He probably got the hills and directions confused.

I had an Olympus a few years ago. The first one leaked and the replacement was a refurbished ont that leaked first time in the water. I bought a Fugi Fine pix for half the price and it does a terrific job. I have had it for almost 3 years and it has been to St John at least 6 times and underwater ev...

Lifeguard stands

Anyone seen these lovely stands? We were there when they pushed them into place. One guard even sawed a sea grape tree to get it out of the way. Maybe they will blend in better when they paint them ! [im<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ponponma/5939500313/" title="sj july 2011 02...

For all those headed to St John for Thanksgiving

Just wanted to remind those on island to stop by the Balcony and grab a Cruzan Rum drink for only $3 ! There are lots of cocktails to choose from and they are 16 oz instead of the regular 12 oz. The best part, at least I think so, is that you can ask for it in a take away cup and go down to beach an...

You can all moan and speculate if you want. Why don't you just wait till slow season is over. Why is this such a hot topic? It is no different than any of the other struggling restaurants out there? Are all of your jobs just rosy pink right now? For the record, I am not hiding under a rock or being ...

Latest news about Cloe and Bernards

This comes straight from the CEO. They are hoping to reopen Cloe and Bernards within a few weeks. They are considering making it a tapas restaurant. That is all appetizers. To me this sounds very exciting. Gives you a quick food fix but with great tasting food as opposed to a burger. Anyway that is ...

The info is on the up and up and straight from the horse's mouth so to speak.

Just a good friend of the management. They are struggling like everyone else. They are coming up with specials to make prices more reasonable such as half price apps at Paradiso and half meal portions at a lower cost at The Balcony. Why make people worry about their fav. restaurant closing when it i...
