Re: Car rental companies demanding letter from insurance com
We've rented from Courtesy for the past 5 years and think they're great. We'll continue to use them. I've always just given them a copy of our cover page for our auto policy. We were just there a month ago and again it worked fine.

Re: How to access Reef Bay from Parrot Bay?
Last week was our fifth year of staying at Little Palm. It's the only place we've stayed. We're hooked on the view. Last week we had the whole hilltop to ourselves. No one was home, and your villa was empty. It was very quiet up there. Awesome, actually. Yeah, last week the weather was a bit more gr...

Re: How to access Reef Bay from Parrot Bay?
FMZip, are you staying at Palm Vista? We were just there last week, at Little Palm, next door. And we also went down to Reef Bay via that rope climb/trail.

Wow!! Thank you very much, that's exactly what I needed to hear.
Tough choice, but it sounds like a 'can't go wrong either way'.

Re: Off Island Day - Jost or Tortola?
Thanks Ed; no I missed that one. That's great info about Tortola. Now I'm just wondering about Jost (other than White Bay).

Off Island Day - Jost or Tortola?
We've done day sails to White Bay several times and enjoyed the beach and Soggy very much. But this year, we're thinking of trying something slightly different, to venture on our own and take the ferry to either Jost or Tortola.
Which would you pick and why?
Thanks for your replies.

I think we finally can post a new ticker! The Villa & Jeep were booked long ago. And now, finally flights. (it wasn't pretty)

Re: Courtesy Car Rental STJ
We've rented from them four years in a row, and if we book STJ next year I'll be using them again. The guys seem nice enough and the Jeeps are fine. Kinda funny, we rented the same exact Jeep 3 years in a row! They offer a cash discount. You can park in their lot when you're in Town. The walk is a l...

Other Islands
It's that time of year when we start discussing next year's vacation trip. Four years in a row, after 'thinking' of going elsewhere, we've returned to St. John. (You all know why!) So, here I sit, researching St. Croix, and Tortola, thinking that maybe this year we should try something different. I ...

Re: underwater cameras
I can offer up one that you should avoid! I purchased the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS25D from Amazon and quickly returned it. The seal failed miserably. I'll be shopping again soon too.

Re: Any thoughts on Villas, Easy Breezes, Palm Vista, Coyoba
Palm Vista - my wife and I walked around it and looked it over last month. It is everything you see in the VRBO listing. The owner's home is next door (comfortably distant) and has a smaller villa in the lower level. We've rented that smaller villa four times. (http://www.vrbo.com/253498) The owner ...

Re: Any thoughts on these two Villas?
If it is Palm Vista on Skytop Rd above Fish Bay, we can kind of give it the 'thumbs up'. We've stayed in the owner's other villa, next door.
