Thanks for the website! I actually have the screen saver of the finger lakes. One of those weird coincidence moments; I didn't see your post until tonight, and just this morning I put the Finger Lakes screen saver on one of my terminals at work! Then I come home, open up the forum, go to the site yo...

Thanks for the report! Oasis opened up? I was worried they were closing. And I agree the Beach Bum people are so nice! Surprising how there are always new places that we have never eaten. We found Gwens’s this last time for several meals.

Thanks so much for posting glad you were able to make it down the same day. With the limited number of flights that can be tricky for sure. And first class definitely helps smooth things out and takes some me of the pain away!

Sadly I've seen drones several times on Jost. try Dominica, Bequia, St Croix or the BVIs.

Re: Coral Bay/East End Eats
Casual? Where we see a lot of locals eat....http://oasisstjohn.com Yummy food, well priced. Ate here twice. They post their menu usually on FB so you can see what they have every night because it changes. Dolphin Market in Coccoloba Plaza has a decent grocery selection. Skinny's always pleases as do...

Re: Taxi service from Airport to Red Hook...Live and Learn
I have t admit the taxi rates I read people post always have me scratching my head a bit. It is $15 from the airport to red hook, but if it's two or more people it's $11 each according to the posted rate. Add a piece of luggage each(which is how we travel) at $2 per bag it works out to $26 plus tip ...

Re: Construction behind grande bay?
Thanks for the info. I admit, that for us, a lot of this construction has created an island we don't enjoy as much as we used to. Our last trip here as a couple was probably 4-5 years ago, though I was here last year with my friend. Husband/I just returned from a week here and considering it's "...

A few photos while waiting at the airport
Might as well be productive! It was a beautiful week with friends at Alice By The Sea over near Miss Lucy's. We listed to the Sunday jazz while sitting by the pool.

Construction behind grande bay?
Wondered what was going up behind grande bay. Is it more of Grande Bay? At first I thought from a distance it seemed more by Battery Hill but not sure, and we never went up that way. Thanks!

Flush for one?
Iheartsj mentioned in another post about water consumption in the islands and it got me thinking. We always try to be conservative in the rental about water usage and flushing, but what do people find acceptable in public restrooms such as restaurants or at the marketplace? I was thinking of that at...
