Sue will call you and they'll help plan a great day for you. No worries. You don't need to know where you want to go, just what you like to do. HAVE FUN! I can't wait - we go out with Capt. John again Feb. 16th.

Thank you greyhoundmom. I'm trying to figure this out. On the way to St John we'll almost certainly take the Red Hook, so it's worth getting Rachel for sure. On the way back we could do the Charlotte Amalie and as I recall it was a cheap cab ride to the airport. I do like the idea of her holding our...

Hiring Rachel Brown for the return trip?

We have a late departing flight and we like to have a Bloody Mary in the shopping district there on St. Thomas. Does it still make sense to hire Rachel to get to the airport?

No good tips really, but when I booked our February '12 trip there was a very big difference in prices for the weeks that schools are on break.

Asolare or Zozo's?

We are celebrating our 30th anniversary in February on St. John and would like to do a special meal (although all our meals on St. John are special!). Last year we ate at Zozo's and it was wonderful, but this year we thought we'd try Asolare. I have since seen someone describe Asolare as having &quo...

This is (mostly) unrelated to this post, but I saw a bumper sticker that said "I Am the Stig" and it was on the back of a Prius. It amused me immensely.

I kind of hate guided tours (too many people). We thought it was a piece of cake. We went early in the morning before anybody else was there, took a swim at the bottom, ate a snack, checked out the bats in the ruins, did the petroglyphs (fabulous), and even had a little deer hike with us on the way ...

Hi wwbbd - LOL I posted the video and then never got time to get on here to tell you about it (until now). And don't worry about the centipede - lol - there were only two and just on the stairs. We stayed at Summerwind in April 2011 and enjoyed it very much. It is really a lovely home and had everyt...

Any seaweed showing up on St. John?

Yuk! "AN invasion of seaweed that is extraordinary in volume and geographic scope has been besieging the eastern Caribbean since June, sending resorts and government agencies from Anguilla in the north to Tobago in the south scrambling to rid beaches of the smelly, brown, bug-attracting algae b...

We rented a dinghy from Noah's and it was great --- except they are VERY hard to get back into out there where they moor. I was able to do it, but I work out and am pretty strong. I had to drag my husband into the boat though. lol. The trip in the dinghy is fairly long, but we went out to Waterlemon...
