Just had another thought. If you cant get the brakes fixed, you could pick up a boat anchor and plan your stops ahead of time.

I really love the puzzler... But the car advice is pretty solid too. Second gear is a good idea, honestly for that type of island. Its terrible on the clutch, since you need to put so much gas and accelleration into just the slightest speed, but it does keep you from going too :-p.

I made a ton of phone calls before my Key West trip and found distributors for both Mango & Summer Ale. Picked it up on the way from Miami to Key West. It was spectacular.

Standard is the best. Best for snow, best for rain, best for mountains and hills, best for beach. Terrible for stop&go traffic. I'd never buy an automatic though, and I live in NY. You could take the bus. Get on just around the corner from skinny legs. Costs $2, I think and is scary as H E double hockey sticks going around those corners :shock: but... will get you back to Cruz Bay.
