The name change had nothing to do with tourists--everything in the territory that wasn't named after a Virgin Islander got renamed in 1970-1990, and anything namable is ALWAYS named after a person. I'm aware of the name changing dates actually, I was just juxtaposing a curiosity of how the Truman n...

Thank you to everyone for the information. I really love this puppy girl, and so does my fiancee... I wish there was a way I could bring her, but part of the excitement in bringing her is that she could enjoy a swim in the water and hang out with us. She's very small and friendly and she loves to be...

I read online that pets were allowed on beaches if you clean up after them -- with the exception of Trunk Bay and one other one. Plus you can take the dog anywhere in the national park, provided you clean up after it and have it leashed. from here: http://www.dogfriendly.com/server/travel/uscities/g...

Traveling with my tiny dog
I live in New York and I have a chihuaha terrier, 6.5LB, fully vaccinated and spayed, totally lovable and friendly--and I have a pet carrier duffle bag for her that is airplane friendly for small dogs to ride in the cabin. What I can't seem to figure out is that if I bring my doggy to St John and St...

Flying into St Croix instead of St Thomas
End Destination: St John From what I gather its about the same price to fly from JFK NY to STX as it is to fly to STT. Anyone ever tried this? Curious what tips might be out there regarding it, I know you can catch a ferry pretty easy to St John but is it as easy as the Cyril E King taxi to Red Hook...

Now I really wonder if this actually pays off.... based on this NY Times article. Joseph Pascarella, who has worked as a baggage handler in Tampa, Fla., for 37 years, said he had noticed the difference. “Before the bag fees, we would handle an average 250 bags on a flight. Now it’s closer to 150 to ...
