Re: A question for Florida forumites
Thanks so much Florida Girl!! This is exactly the kind of information I was looking for. In fact, I'm going to print out your response for Hubby to read.I actually LOVE the little lizards in Florida - they're fun to watch and they remind me of STJ. I would love to watch the snakes and gators too but...

Re: A question for Florida forumites
Thanks for the info. I'm hoping that the golfers, sprinklers and errant golf balls won't be a huge but maybe I'm wrong. The lot in question is near the very front section of the golf course, almost in line with the club house. There is a parking lot between the clubhouse and the lot in question and ...

Re: Meals in Villa
We always take a few things from home to save on grocery costs on the island. Here's a couple of our favorites - before you leave home buy a turkey breast and debone it. Double bag and freeze. I also make a batch of homemade meatballs, which I bake, cool, bag and freeze. The night before we leave I ...

Re: A question for Florida forumites
Thanks ccinhbg...hahaha!! It shouldn't be a huge problem because the lot is actually behind the first tee in the opposite direction that the ball should be travelling. Even if someone is uncoordinated enough to hit the ball backwards I think the depth of the drainage ditch and the wild, brushy growt...

A question for Florida forumites
My husband and I are in negotiation right now to possibly build a retirement home in Sebastian Florida, which is in between Vero Beach and Melbourne. We have been vigorously "discussing" which lot to choose and can't quite seem to agree although we've narrrowed it down to two. The problem ...

Re: Wildlife you have seen in your backyard
I'm in Northwest Connecticut where the foothills of the Berkshires start and I see all sort of amazing things in my yard...deer (triplet fawns - one well nourished doe thanks to my hostas, no doubt), fox, bobcats, bears, dog-tormenting squirrels, rabbits, chippies, tomato pecking crows and the most ...

Re: Wouldn't it be nice....
Great idea! Actually, this would be a great idea for any business that had some extra space because it would almost guarantee a stream of traffic. Maybe Pia could spread the word for us if she sees this.

Re: Wouldn't it be nice....
That would be good....that way we could take turns testing the snorkel gear, beach chairs, sand toys, floaties, etc. to make sure that they are in proper working order!! ![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Wouldn't it be nice....
.....if the Forum had a spot where we could leave things to be used by others? Sort of a lending "library" so to speak. Things like noodles or inflatable rafts that no one wants to haul home. Or unused sunscreen and bugspray or the high bottomed beach chairs for people with hip or knee pro...

We have a newbie going with us later this year. I send her the parts about McCartney/Springsteen and the whales. She was totally impressed!

Re: Wedding accomodations needed
I doubt that your friend will find anything in her price range where there is a level access to a sandy beach. If she's willing to hike a little or settle on a rockier/rougher beach it might be possible. Make sure your friend knows that there are so many accessible beaches that it's no big deal if s...

Re: Wedding accomodations needed
I'm sure there are some villas on Klein or Reef Bays that might work. I just reserved one on Reef Bay within that budget and while it's a hike to the beach it's doable.

Re: Doing the happy dance!
I know Minde....normally I go in November but we decided to switch it up this year. We might run into each other yet, who knows. Thanks Ski2play - already working on my menu!
