For a combination of easy accessibility and good snorkeling I think I have to go with Maho. Go all the way along the far left shoreline. I like Lameshur too, but much harder to get to with a limited time frame. Not sure why you want to go to Coral Bay, but I personally don't think it's worth passing...

I think it looks like headlights from a car on the road. They probably appear really bright as the car comes around the curve straight toward the camera or if they are parked pointed in that direction. Some of the villas we've rented face that point and you can really see the car headlights at night...

I've been thinking about another one too Greyhoundmom - just haven't figured out which design or which birthday. Who knows, it might have to wait for skydiving, motorcycle lessons or some other repressed desires to be satisfied first. I put off so many things during my childrearing years that I have...

Woohoo Greyhoundmom and Elisa!! I got my first tattoo at age 53 too - went with BOTH of my kids. Now my husband - who had 6 years in the Navy - is the only one in the family without a tattoo. It really turns my son's crank when his old Mom talks about getting inked the same time as him! (I just got ...

I agree with snorkeling at Maho, Waterlemon/Leinster and you might want to try Hawksnest as a first easy starting point - look for the dark area in the middle and along the rocks on the far right. Personally I don't think Trunk is all that great unless you are very, very new to snorkeling and need a...

I stayed with a group of 9 at Visatero this fall a couple weeks before Pegoode's group. We thought that it was a little neglected and more worn than some of the other villas we've rented. It's been listed for sale and had some definite issues with deferred maintainence which are probably related to ...

Wow CG - you're giving me some competition!! LOL. Hey, I'm glad you like the freezing method. I do too. Tonight I baked the raspberry pistachio thumbprints, maple logs and I whipped up some choc chip with whole pecans on top for a loved one who's a pecan lover. My husband requested a cheesecake for ...

melmd - Somehow I never get around to looking for roti until I'm on St Thomas heading for home. It's a great item to pick up to take on the plane. There's a little cafe behind the park next to the vendor area that's near the Visitor's center. As you're coming off the ferry that goes into Charlotte A...

CG - The only way that I can do that many cookies for the church sale is to start in November and freeze the cookie dough all ready to bake. Even with that I was in my kitchen for at least 8 hours on Friday afternoon and night so that everything was fresh baked the day before the sale. You should ha...
