I would recommend Grande Bay, either two 2 bedrooms or a 3 bedroom, you can find them on VRBO if you want to walk into to town. We have stayed at Rendezview, it is a lovely villa. but a good 12-15 minute drive, You can get cab service to the villa, but I thi nk you would be happier at Grande Bay

I don't know how big the walkie talkies were this is coming from a 21 year old who was sneaking over to visit a friend working at Caneel.

Carole King was at La Tapa for dinner last week. My daughter said someone famous was staying at Cottage 7 last week, they had body guards around the cottage on walkie talkies.

We love Gifft Hill so much that we are building here I think it is easy to get anywhere from Gifft Hill to Centerline, close to Cruz Bay, close to Health Center for emergencies, and views to die for!!! I will put on my thinking cap and think of some of my neighboring villas that may be available.

TY Lovevermont, it has been a learning process for us too, St John Ruth turned us on to this system, you just add a cup of sugar to help the process along. Very cool, inexpensive green way to deal with waste!!!!

You are correct Exit Zero and we do not have any bathrooms above a cistern. We have around 65,000 gallons of potable cistern water. This house is not a rental, most likely just for friends and family. I have been told we will have enough water with 5 potable cisterns.
