We also stayed in early August. We loved it. I know exactly what you're asking about the pool - I'm like you - yep - The pool was warm enough. It wasn't hot but very nice. I would say that my 2 kids (age 13 and 16) enjoyed it. I thought it was windy - but we enjoyed it. It was very hot in town/beach...

Sorry - I'll try to post a better review but here are some pictures. I tried to attach them but had a problem so I added them to a shutterfly account.

Miss Lucy's and Vie's Beach Shack - both closed
Our first time to St.John - we love it here. I thought I'd give a shout out to other newbies so that they aren't disappointed. We tried to go to Miss Lucy's the other night since we heard it would be closed in Sept/Oct. They are now closed for slow season. Too bad - we were looking forward to it. We...

I'm staying there this week. We haven't used the AC at all. A few nights my kids asked us to shut the doors/windows because they were cold (I know - isn't that silly). This is my first stay in St.John and can't imagine staying anywhere else. We were in Cruz Bay yesterday and we were really hot/miser...

Hey there - We're arriving on Aug 2 - leaving the 9th. And we're new to STJ too. I'm going to be there with my hubbie and 2 teen boys. We can't wait. We're not diving this trip - just snorkeling. My only last minute issue is the STT rental car company called yesterday and said they don't have any 4W...

that is an interesting debate. I assumed we'd all wear fins but I usually dive and not snorkel. But, I can see where in shallow water and close to shore you wouldn't need them. Plus, I've seen people with fins destroy coral and cloud up the water kicking sand, etc. Interesting ... and, I hate my fin...
