For the best protection, you could buy some long pant swim tights - rash guards for your legs.

Rashguards are good and especially for the sun. However, if you want to stay warm you have to fight your body's natural radiators, namely your hands and feet (your head stays warm from the sun). I've always worn dive boots but in the last few years have added the gloves and it is like night and day....

The storm is fast moving so I would expect the airport to be pretty much back to normal Tuesday. The ferries may stop tonight and not restart until somtime Tuesday. That would be my thinking as to why to go on over to STT and get a room near the airport if possible. It's not like you will enjoy your...

Definitely do not wait until tomorrow if you are thinking about moving over to STT. The storm is moving quickly.

Different villa for each trip thus far.

And paradoxically, for us the villa with the worst view led to the best vacation - we spent most of the daylight hours at the beaches.

I would be one to push it back the other direction. Take a look at your lease agreement, it was probably for a house with X number of bedrooms, regardless as to how many occupants you actually had. A pod that leaks is hardly habitable so the CaribbeanVilla company did not deliver what they agreed to...

I use the credit card rewards programs heavily, change cards frequently, and the offers keep coming. Basically I only use cash if they don't take credit cards and ALWAYS pay in full at the end of each month so there are no interest charges. Different cards are better for different stuff. My Capital ...

It is absolutely laughable that on a forum where the consumption of alchohol is idealized the idea of legalizing a less harmful drug is poo-pooed. More driving accidents than with alcohol? Are you serious???

A consequence of democracy is that the uninformed have an equal vote.

You can see change coming in St. John as well.
The youth are looking less and less island
and more and more gangsta.

I don't like having to drive from Coral Bay to Cruz Bay just to get gas. Those jeeps don't get the best mileage to start with!

Love my D10 so much that I've quit using my "main" camera. Also have the sanyo underwater HD video camera and while fun, still prefer the D10 for video too.

I dunno about the dinghy. Just so easy to picture someone trying to get out of it with one broken arm and ending up with 2! If it was me - I would have to go anyway because I've never bought travel insurance  but if given the choice, I would try to postpone. The cast is going to be vvery hot do...

In this chemist's opinion, the bugs either like you or they don't and there is not a whole lot that you can do about it other than covering up your skin. The bugs don't like me, I can go without bug spray for a week on St. John and never get a bite. My wife and son however, they are sweet and the bu...
