My experience...

This is my personal experience from this past summer trip in STJ. I've been using a Finepix F30 with housing, bought at B&H, for 4 years now and wanted the "no housing" advantage and bought the Panasonic TS1. I preferred the TS1 over the Canon D10 for size and HD video possibilities. T...

Trip Report from a Newbie

This was our first stay in St John so I will try to cover all aspects of such a nice trip or holiday. We stayed for 10 days from August 11th to the 21st. We are a couple in their late forties and since 1992 we have done one or two Caribbean holiday a year as we have done quite a few all-inclusive re...

We just rented a 4WD from Discount and the service was just excellent. They are not at the airport, but you call them once you have your luggage and they pick you up within minutes, they drive you to their place, about 5 minute drive and get the papers filled with a nice "new"(4000 miles) ...

My take is that it's probably kids or teenagers fooling around(as everywhere in the world). Just keep your windows up when you are driving in the dark at night!

Skinny "Eggs"

Just back from Skinny Leggs for hamburgers and on the way back to the villa, heard a big thud sound on the driver side of the jeep while in the area between the corner of Salt Pond Road and Love City Market. Told my wife that it sounded like a rock has been thrown at us. We were lucky as my side win...

Update on TS1

Here are a sample of the pictures taken, today, with the TS1. Note that this is also the first time I ever used it...as I bought it a few days before our departure and read the book on the plane! As for the quality of the pictures it's a little soon as the water was not that clear and the the skies ...

Panasonic TS1

Just got on St John and will be trying the brand new Panasonic TS1 that I preferred over the Canon D10. Mostly because of the HD(high definition) movie capability, although it's a little more expensive. I also brought my Fujifilm F30 with waterproof casing so I will keep you updated as how the TS1 i...
