Re: Latest Car Barge News
Thanks for all the replies. I typically do rent on STJ. However, because this was a last minute trip that needed 3 four door jeeps, I couldnt find anyone on STJ that had that many. Man, this sounds bad. I wonder what happens since I rented three jeeps and then if I cant get them to my destination. O...

Latest Car Barge News
Does anyone know what ever happened and what is the latest with the car barge saga? We are arriving on STT in early July with a big group (3 jeeps!). Our flight arrives at 2:30 pm. I'm hoping to catch the first possible ferry to STJ. Does anyone know which barges are running currently and does anyon...

Re: Jeepsvi.com
Thanks for the reply! Yes I love Amalie but I can't get her to call us back. We've been renting from her for years. Not sure what the deal is. Hope she's doing ok. It's for St. John.

Re: Another Amalie Car Rental?
Thanks so much for the replies. However, 5 out of the 5 reviews on yelp are horrible. Spooks me a bit. See here- http://www.yelp.com/biz/l-and-l-jeep-rental-saint-john

Re: La Papaya Villa
Thanks Julie,
I actually have it on a 24 hour hold for early-mid July. I booked my trip last minute so it was the only one that could accommodate all the people I'm bringing that was in my price range. I usually always rent around chocolate hole but I've never needed one for this many people!

Re: La Papaya Villa
Russ, stayed there twice and the villa but needs some TLC. Kitchen is tiny but it has great pool and the AC worked well. Thanks for the reply. All I really care about is that the beds are somewhat comfortable and that I can cook in there. Would you say the beds are comfortable? Are there utensils a...

La Papaya Villa
Has anyone stayed at La Papaya Villa in Chocolate Hole? It looks ok, particularly since I have a big group. However, I have read a few bad reviews that are kind of spooking me.

Another Amalie Car Rental?
So, Amalie Car Rental has been my favorite car rental shop. But because of her great service, she is often booked up. Can anyone recommend another one on St. Thomas for use on St. John? Or alternatively, can anyone recommend one on STJ where they are actually kind to their customers? Super excited, ...

Yes, I would say there are going to be some mosquitos when you go. But get some mosquito fogger to spray around you when you are planning to be in the same spot outside and get you some 100% deet. They sell it there. Good luck. Don't worry about the bugs. You'll have a blast. Stay close to the water...

Guts and Runoff
How long does it take the water to clear up from a storm usually?
I know the guts typically cloud the water and I'm heading there next week.
Thanks,
Russ

We went to waterlemon cay in a dinghy - it was a bit choppy around the point but not too bad - but we are boaters here in NH - the worst part was trying to get back in the dinghy when we were done snorkeling. I agree. Waterlemon is the place to be. I really didn't have trouble getting back to my di...
