Our 23 year old daughter has been staying in some very nice villas on STJ since she was 7. Last summer, she and her boyfriend went to STJ by themselves. They booked into Estate Lindholm on STJ and then the Best Western Emerald on the way out. They realized, spending their own money, what a good deal...

Re: Medical Oxygen
Good thing you asked!
The Inogen is a good brand--we used to have one of those and Caitlin traveled with it a lot, when her oxygen needs were low. Because he will (everyone does) de-sat on the plane, he might need it for flying, but his doctor can determine that.
Enjoy your trip.

Re: Medical Oxygen
Hi -- Does he have a portable oxygen concentrator? As far as I know, none of the US airlines allow you to travel with filled tanks anymore. (And even when they did, they had to supply the oxygen.) If he doesn't have one, you can rent one from a supplier. My daughter traveled to STJ at a time when sh...

Curly was just the sweetest little dog, and I don't think I ever saw you or Ron so happy as with him, Ruth. He was a lucky pup to find you both. The pain of losing a pet is just awful. xoxo

Re: Please vote for Marryanne O'Hara
I just saw this! Thank you so much. Haven't visited the forum in a while. We had to cancel a January trip to STJ and it was too painful.
Hope all is well with the forum!

Thanks so much for these responses! Marcia, I will check out TravelGuard.
If I cover the whole villa rental, it's 1K-ish, which just seems so pricey, but worth it for peace of mind, I suppose.
Or I could insure for one week and gamble.

Please help: Afraid I might have to use trip ins
Hi everyone, I booked a villa for 2 weeks in January, and of course have to finish paying for it (next week). We have someone with a pre-existing condition in the family and have had to cancel trips last minute in the past, so now I do always get some trip insurance. Fortunately, I've not had to use...

Re: Need a new credit card with travel benefits
Thanks, MB, and yes, Tim, that's exactly what I don't like about "points," especially since I enjoyed using all the AA miles we accrued to fly Business Class. A Business Class ticket via points quickly wipes out all your points...

Re: Need a new credit card with travel benefits
Thank you, MB! I did a search and came up with nothing.
If anyone still wants to chime in/update, I'm all ears. I also should mention that using miles got me hooked on traveling Business Class. Wondering how well the upgrades work with those cards. Thanks.

Need a new credit card with travel benefits
So, I live in Boston and used to use AA miles to fly to STT and London. Now that AA no longer directly flies to those cities, I would like to stop using my AAdvantage Citi card. (It's my only credit card.) A little research recommends either the Barclay Arrival World Mastercard or the Capital One Ve...
