Re: Need park & fly Chicago O'hare

We have stayed at 2 park and fly hotels - the first (don't remember the name) was too close to the airport & I couldn't sleep because of the noise from the jets. So, if that noise bothers you, don't worry about getting a hotel that is really close to O'Hare. The second park and fly we stayed at ...

Re: OK, I think I have to give up reading

"A common thought when things look a little more problematic here is:

It's paradise not heaven"

Wow, Exit Zero, you hit the nail on the head with those 4 words! Especially good for people who expect EVERYTHING on St. John to be as fantastic and perfect as the views.

Re: TORTOLA

It is worth it. There are some beautiful botanic gardens in Road Town. Also, if you can rent a vehicle & just drive any which way the roads lead, you'll see some stunning vistas.

Re: Reef Bay Hike

54b: I just read your blog & am still chuckling. My husband & I can totally relate to what you are saying. We had a heck of a trying walk back up Reef Bay Trail & had to stop & rest often. We are such dummies cause we brought no extra water after spending a good portion of the day co...

Re: Reef Bay Hike

You'll have no problem hiking back up seeing as you are a runner. Having water is the big thing.

Just remember to be back up the trail before sunset - waaayyyy earlier on St. John than you'd think.

Have fun!

I saw on one of the St. John realty sites (can't remember which one) that Le Chateau sold about a year ago. Do you think some lucky person has made it their residence & not just a vacation home that they also rent out? The views from that place look stunning! And the fact that it sits on quite a...

Ditto all of the above. We got a nice vehicle (looked good, ran well) & the other cars in the lot all looked nice too - didn't notice any clunkers.

Glad you're hanging in there California Girl! I really value your opinions and enjoy reading your trip reports and seeing your pictures. You were nice enough to email me one of your gorgeous Trunk Bay photos in perfect size so that I could use it as my desktop wallpaper. This forum wouldn't be the s...

ScottB: It's your own fault regarding your take on the ribs at Uncle Joe's BBQ  Ever since I made the ribs from the recipe you posted on this forum, it has ruined my tastebuds for ribs at any restaurant! My husband, who never cared for ribs, just devours them. They are always fall-off-the-bone...

Holy cow, Rotunda would be in my budget - if I won the lottery!!!

I, too was wondering what those villas are high up above Trunk Bay, Liamsaunt. Maybe they are not rentals. Darn.

Iowaguy, Hawksnest Villa does have glorious views, that's for sure.

Villa Rentals with view of Trunk Bay?

Does anyone know if there are any villas to rent that have a view of Trunk Bay?
