We stayed at Estate Lindholm at the beginning (2 days) and the end (1 day) of our trip in 2005. It was very, very nice. Clean rooms, great views and very peaceful. Lauren was very friendly and helpful. It is my understanding that with the new buildings they are moving to a less family, more couple e...

My parents spend 10 days in Virgin Gorda every year. We often spat back and forth about whose island is the best. :)

They can't say enough good things about a few restaurants: Chez Bamboo & De Loose Mongoose.

Mary Beth, you've got to explore Jumbie Beach-it is my favorite. It is super fun to sit there, alone, and watch all the huge ships come in to Trunk. The reef is fabulous on the right had side as you are looking out on the ocean. Lots of creatures in the coral and we saw our first shark there. :shock...

I became a Kenny Chesney fan when I was flipping channels and saw the video for "I lost it" or something like that-the whole video was St. John. I even checked out his concert DVDs from the library to watch it again. :)

Mary Beth!

Yippee! Congratulations!

I loved the pictures. My absolute favorite was in the water with a glass of champagne. It elicited smiles and wistful sighs at home.

Does anyone know much about Carnival Beach House?

Has anyone stayed at or know much about Carnival Beach House? I'm trying to figure out if the guest cottage is a rental for 1 group or 2 groups. I think I could handle staying at the guest house with privacy while the owner was in the main house. I know I couldn't handle the owners and someone else ...

Pine Peace is the best place to go for alcohol. At least they were the cheapest this last June/July. Pine Peace doesn't look like a typical supermarket like Starfish does but you get to meet and talk to some really interesting people. :)

We stayed at the Green Iguana in late June when our friends insisted on spending a day shopping in St. Thomas. We were a little wary but took a chance becuase the reviews were so great. It is very nice and clean. The owner is on the premises and has a little snack/drink bar you can get some refreshm...

Ken- I'm guessing that you weren't the one to do this, but seeing your pictures I was reminded of how connected St. John fans are. I have a page ripped out of a scrapbook magazine of a beautiful layout with one of your pictures-Jennifer at Mahoe. I was so excited to see a St. John page and it was so...

It is embarassing to admit that we have been to St. John three times and have still not snorkeled Waterlemon. That is on the top of our list. *take a day sail with Captain Josh & No Shooz *maybe rent a dinghy but I get cranky at the people who use them most of the time. :) Especially those who d...

We almost stayed at Emerald this last trip for our 1 night before St. John. We chickened out because of our awful experience with Best Western Carib Beach across the way and even closer to the airport. Gross does not even begin to describe our experience. The staff were horrible, they called crazy t...

Hi Max,

I'm not far from you up in SW Missouri. We found neat sheets at Walgreens. Can't recommend them enough. :) If you need to borrow one that already has some St. John sand in it, just let me know. Our next trip is yet to be planned....sob.

One night on St. Thomas

We spent one night in St. Thomas our last trip because our newbie friends wanted to "shop". We stayed at the Green Iguana. http://www.thegreeniguana.com/ It is up away from downtown C.A. and you have to take a taxi to get food but it is surprisingly cheap, very clean and very friendly. It ...
