Re: battery hill comments anyone
We stayed in BH the first week of Oct 2013. The walk into town is very easy. The walk back wasn't bad at all for me but I can see being a little tough for some, but it its doable for everyone I think. You can hear the Beach Bar music from pool area which we liked to eat dinner out there and listen t...

Re: Airport transfer
We usually use Rachel for our arrival taxi to RH. Very friendly lady full of knowledge of the Island. I believe its $50 for my wife and I plus whatever you want to tip her. I highly recommend her. Some will say to call pretty far in advance, but I usually call the week prior to arrival with no probl...

Re: Boat Charter Advice
If you are wanting to go on a sail boat, I highly recommend Singing Dog Sailing (Singingdogsailing.com). They have a large 45' catamaran. Stephen and Kelly are both captains and very knowledgeable of the waters and marine life. They will work with you on whatever you would like to do.

The BVI website states that its $5/pp if your a boat passenger. I wonder how they're getting away charging $15?

Re: Ferry to JVD
Awesome! Thanks for the feedback. I don't remember Iprof if you were with us or not. I remember it was my wife and I and 2 other couples. I remember the 6 of us decided to walk instead of taxi to White Bay and we kept waving on the taxis that would stop and ask if we wanted a ride. Ya that was one o...

Ferry to JVD
I have taken the ferry to JVD once and that was years ago. I know its not recommended to buy round trip ferry tickets for RH to CB. Is it ok to buy round trip tickets for CB to JVD? Or only buy one ways? Thanks for any info.

Re: Sailing school?
I have heard a lot of great things about Fairwinds Sail School. You can go with him a just a passenger and not the school part too. RickG recently did a school. I don't remember the company, but you might hit him up on the details.

Re: Sunset Sail
Depending on time of the year, New Horizons is great. We usually travel mid to late October, and last year there was only 20 people on the boat. It was a really good time with not a lot of people. We have gone before when it has been packed. If you like a lot of people it may be fun when there's a l...

Re: Uncle Joe's BBQ
I think Barefoot Cowboy Lounge has best BBQ on island. Wayne knows how to do real BBQ. The all-you-can-eat Thursdays is a steal for $20. Great atmosphere and live music from Steven on Thursdays.

I second on bringing a lot of cash. After a couple painkillers or nillerkillers, they start to flow into you like they're going to run out soon.
