Re: Best day to travel home?

My in-laws traveled out recently on a Wednesday and they said it was heaven, but they had to fly out on an ity bity plane, and with 9 in our party, we didn't want to be split up. Thanks for all the replies everybody, looking forward to planning this next trip!

Best day to travel home?

Last visit was in June of 2012, and leaving from STT was horrendously long and busy. We left on a Saturday, and requested a porter's help, which still had us standing in line to check in for at least an hour, and then didn't not cut our wait for customs by too much, totaling about 1.5-2 hr wait. Is ...

We were there from the 9th - 23rd. The first week was pretty clear the first week was pretty hazy the second. This was my 3rd trip, but only the second during the summer. I thought visibility above water was much worse than last trip, and visibility underwater was marginally worse.

ohhh, that's too bad, we're getting at 4! Although there is an anniversary while we're down there too, maybe we can do a cake for that rather than the birthday. Thanks for the info everyone!

Question about Baked in the Sun - Do you have to order or will they have a few on hand to just grab and go? Also, where did they move again?

I've seen them on both our April/May trip and our August trip. I notice them more at certain beaches than others, specifically Francis and Maho. I don't think I've noticed them in places like Hawksnest, Trunk. They don't seem to bother anyone else in my family, but I ran into 1 and was stingy and it...

If you buy breakfast items at the grocery store (it's close to double what we pay at home)and eat at the villa, buy sandwiches at a local deli (can't remember for sure, but probably $10-12 per sandwich) and dinner at a cheaper restaurant ($60-70 for both of you), you could probably do food for $100-...

Heavens Gate Villa

While we aren't able to stay here this trip, during villa research we stumbled upon Heavens Gate in Hurricane Hole. Looks gorgeous and was curious if anyone has stayed here?

I personally wouldn't do no AC in August. We were there in August in Catherineburg and I was dying when the power was out overnight with no a/c. Of course, I like it to be closer to 70 to sleep in, depends on what you're comfortable with. You'll need windows open if no a/c. There were some REALLY lo...
