Great post Bill Our ritual is usually staying in Detroit the night before...(free parking for 10 days), early flight, after 12 years we have all carry ons(which we Gate check for free) get to STT around 2 and check into Emerald Beach Best Western in time for Happy Hour and the 2-6 FREE drink coupons...

We have done the Baths in a few different ways... 1. We rented our own power boat for the day 2. We hired a captain (Captain Ben) 3. Bareboated from Tortola. Of course the time of year and North swells will be a determining factor...I would hire a captain for the day and swim in if the swells allow....

and the verdict is in..... Sorry to the STJ Chamber of Commerce...But BVI we soon come. Thanks to the many folks that offered up some options...that's what this forum is about. we will spend 7 nights here and 2 night at the end in STJ someplace in Cruz Bay with our crew of 2 adults and 2 teenagers. ...

Ouch...when are your dates buddy? Tuesdays are the lowest day of the week to look at airfare...not the flying part but the booking. We always book air first and villa second.

We did it the first couple of times we came to the Rock...we now just bring a Credit card. Less planning...less worry...more go with the flow.

Last year we took the 11:15 to CA and the Taxi drivers there will hold your bags and pick you up at a designated place and time while you check out some last minute shops, the straw market and a nice lunch at Glady's( nicely air conditioned) in a building and courtyard that was built in the 1700's. ...

Not to be facetious, no matter how you plan or pack...the less you plan/pack in your mind and let go... will no doubt allow you the freedom to bring less clothes, things and ultimately stress. Might be imperfect, but hey, that's why we are all here. That being said... I like my own mask and snorkel ...
