What are my options for getting to Virgin Gorda from St Thomas arriving on a 3:30 flight Monday? No direct ferry on Mondays. Is it possible to connect in Road Town?

Our travel mates are on a budget so I don't think I can talk them into a charter...

Check the villas around Chocolate Hole. Tom mentioned Beach Music. We stayed at Ebbtide and Cielodonna in 2010. Remember that East side gets evening sun and west shore gets morning sun.

As a bonus (or not) it was a relatively easy walk for to the Westin complex.

Am I correct that the flash only occurs over water? That must limit viewing locations on St. John and I assume closer to the winter solstice the better... (sun sets farthest to south).

We rent STT strictly for convenience. Only groceries purchased on STT is cold beer for the ferry ride over.

If you are really trying to maximize snorkel time, try something in lower Chocolate Hole; you can dash down to the "beach " in a couple of minutes and there is excellent snorkeling about 2/3 out on the left side.

If you don't have AT&T, get a burner.

Sure, it's on the left side of the road as you come down the last hill from Caneel. Good to see it is fixed up. However I'm not thrilled that this will likely bring more traffic to one of our favorite beaches
