Re: Miss Lucy's and Island Blues open?

We discovered Concordia for Sunday brunch last year -- IMHO way better than Ms. Lucy's.

Re: How do you leave the villa?

We used to throw out all food, but last trip we were told to leave it for the cleaning crew. I label each container of what it is, when it was made, etc. I don't leave leftover restaurant food, just the homemade stuff and only if I would eat it if I could. I also bring a sharpie with me and date all...

Thanks MSG: I just booked my flight yesterday. I can either hope that the time will change and stay the extra night in STJ, or book at the Emerald and live with it. We've still got time - this is our December trip! Thank you all. I knew what the answer was, but I needed to confirm. Hate to leave STJ...

Early (7:35 a.m.) Flight from STT to SJU

Do you think we can make a 7:35 a.m. flight from STT to San Juan taking the 6:00 a.m. ferry? I think we can if we have a private taxi arranged - what do you think?

In no particular order:
Donkey Diner
JJ's
Deli Grotto
Jake's

Used to go to Lucy's for Sunday brunch, but at $25 for eggs ben. we now do those in the villa (with smoked salmon or crabcakes -- yummy)!

We've done it. Used to be that the airport didn't even open until 7:00 or 7:30 a.m. (off season) so the flight never took off on time. One year we did stay the night in STT.

Depends.....If you had already rented the villa for the two couples, I might just charge her the incremental rate for the third bedroom. If you had, however, knew from the beginning that she was coming and you knew you had to have the third bedroom, I would charge her 1/3rd for the house. All other ...

Villa Carolina

We've stayed at Villa Carolina two times. Great views. My only complaint is that the kitchen has tile countertops. Otherwise, we would stay again. The two upper bedrooms are equal - nice showers w/open screen at the top. Big enough living room w/working tv, wi-fi, etc. Nice pool. Very nice landscapi...

If you only have a week in STJ, I would definitely not plan a daytrip to STX. We spent a week in STX a few years back and loved it. STX needs a week, not a rushed day. There is plenty to do on STJ. We've been there 8 times and still have things we haven't done yet. I wouldn't even waste a day on STT...

We eat hearty breakfasts and tend to eat in about half the time and out half the time. Then we head to the beach. Sometimes we bring snacks for the beach and sometimes we go out for a late lunch and a beer or two at the tap room. We eat dinner in almost every night preceded by cocktails poolside. We...

Pillars of the Earth, Ken Follet
It is a 1,000 page read; takes place in the 1200's; great vacation book; I couldn't put it down.

World Without End is the sequel. Equally as good.
