I have seen and taken part in previous posts discussing hot tubs. The idea of getting in a public hot tub that lots of other people have used for God only knows what is gross.
Save your money. I think a lot of people share my view.

You can't see a foot in front of you in the water at the Westin. Maybe fine to dip in if the pool area too crazy with people, but you wont want to really swim or snorkel there.

I've never seen in SJ because it happens as the sun hits the horizon at the water and I've never been in a place to see that actually happen. I've seen it many times in Hawaii and a few times here in California. And NO my experience is that it is a FLASH and happens in a nano-second so no photo opps.
