This past summer we left on a Saturday afternoon as well and the lines were incredibly long. I think it took close to three hours to wind through them all. However, when I posted this upon my return, another forumite said they left the next day (a Sunday) and flew right through in less than an hour....

We took a a taxi from Cruz Bay to Hawksnest this past spring and although I don't recall the rates, the driver was there to take us back at the exact time we asked. It worked out very well.

Thanks so much for your input. The camera I currently own does not have a Nikon specific housing, but I could buy an underwater housing elsewhere for it. I would rather get a whole new one (don't tell my husband!) that is smaller.
