Lysa - I, too, want to add my prayers for you and your beloved dog. I have a cocker spaniel who is almost 13 and I truly dread the day that I know awaits us. He is totally deaf, but enjoys life just the same. He is my first "baby" - we saw him in a pet store window and couldn't resist! Big...

Here is some info from JMQ who replied to me about a question on digital cameras a while back. This is a review for a similar model by Pentax. Just one person's opinion...... "If you don’t want to fuss with a housing, two newer choices for digitals that do not require a separate housing include...

Scott -

I am truly enjoying your trip report and am a bit jealous of your lucky wife! Thank you sharing with us all - you have a gift with words. I do hope you'll share some of the 72 pictures that Bill in VA took!

Hi Chickadee - I have an application here in front of me - I'm planning to get them for my kids who are a bit older than yours. For children under the age of 16, passports are valid for 5 years for a total cost of $82. For adults, 16 years and older, they are valid for 10 years and the cost is $97. ...

Nothintolose - we had an early afternoon flight - I believe it was about 2:00pm. It was really a zoo at the airport. We had a hard time finding which line to get in for check-in. Once that was done, we were in another huge line for customs which wrapped all around by the rum punch stand and back out...

We will miss the better half too Jorge as us Madisonians will be there as the same time as Waterguy. Hubby and I plan to be at the Beach Bar on the 14th for the Sunday Jazz Jam. That day is already planned - Miss Lucy's for brunch, Haulover North for some good snorkeling and then back to shower and ...

Thanks Jan! I am enjoying your report - even though it isn't going well now, I know from your last report that things ended up okay! Hard to have a poor time while on St. John!

P.S. (For those of you heading out soon - I have used Caribbean Villas in the past with no problems!)

We left on a Saturday in June this year and it was a real bear. Lines all over and quite a bit of confusion. So much so that we plan to stay an extra night in St. Thomas and leave on a Sunday instead this coming June! It was also our first trip with kids, so that made it a bit worse.

Welcome home Rick and crew! I am eager, as well, to hear about your trip.. The real time reports were just a teaser I'm sure!

I enjoyed your pictures and it makes me eager to try out my underwater housing for the first time in January. Thanks so much for sharing.

I think it is more than enough, but it depends a bit on the quality of the pictures you want. I know my camera takes less pictures depending on the quality. I am a picture taker - ask my husband! And I just bought a new camera and plan to take only a 1 gig along on our January trip - no laptop. Have...
