We are booked!!!

YAYYYY!!! We decided a week or so ago to change our plans for the first week of May from a trip to Fla to a trip to St John!!!!!!!! Since then we have been looking at every rental website under the sun. Ironically we got down to 6 villas - all lacking at least one of our "must haves". We c...

Thank you!

Thank you so much for all of the great suggestions - I knew the forum would not let me down. All week we have gone back and forth about whether we should do this now or not and I think (crossing fingers!) we are going to go for it and plan our last minute visit to the islands! YAYAYAYYYYYYYYYYYY! I ...

ahh.....it is good to be back....a question for all regulars

Hi all - Haven't been on this site much in the last year or so - life has been too upside down and we have had our share of the unemployment woes and all and it was just too depressing to read about fabulous St John when we knew we wouldn't be going for a long, long time - but alas I am back!!!!!!!!...

Favorite Villa for Two?

We are hopefully planning a trip for our anniversary this fall and would like a nice villa with two bedrooms - larger is okay if the price is right! We have always stayed in Coral Bay but would consider a location elsewhere as long as it wasn't in too congested of an area. We would love to have a po...

I hope I didn't misconstrue the situation and make it look as though we were trying to get something for nothing but what "typically" happens with our group is that we will confirm let's say 15 people in the planning process, then for one reason or another 12 will actually go. 90% of the t...

Large Villa for????

Hi to all the St John experts out there - I need a little advice.....To while away the cold, snowy, crappy, snowy, cold, awful winter we are having in WNY I am helping a friend to plan a trip to St John. The scoop is this - every other year a group of 4 couples who are all good friends go away for a...

Hi Rochester, NY! I'm from Canandaigua and trust me everybody here is REAL nice and you will find it to be a supportive, informative board. I have frequented the Beach Bar many times and truthfully I cannot for the life of me even picture a TV there let alone a TV playing the football game. The Beac...

I think you conceivably could but why? There is no distance too short to take a cab. I would not in a million years schlep luggage and two kids to a hotel that is a short cab ride away. You are on vacation - don't add a complication you don't need. Get off the plane, have a rum punch, gather your lu...

OPH

We stayed at OPH in May of 2005 and loved, loved, loved it. The views are to die for and for us it was perfect in every way. The MBR suite is a separate level/entrance and is in effect two flights down from the main living area - to some that might be a concern - it wasn't for us. The other two bedr...

Oh that is funny....I too am guilty of this. Saw a guy a few weeks ago at the shoe store with a St John tee shirt on and oh yes I stalked him. Has happened many times before too. I have also been stalked and approached when wearing my St John apparel is well. Oh it is too funny! I see you are from A...

Q for Becky and Brian and Pam

Hi guys - I saw you had Upstate New York listed as your location - I too live in what I always thought was Upstate New York until someone told me "No, you live in Western New York State"! At any rate - where are you guys from? I live in South Bristol (south of Canandaigua) and have lived i...

Cooper Island is great in terms of a laid back atmosphere and GREAT food. We are among those who stopped there for lunch and went back to stay the following year! Going again in 2009 for 10 days too....ahhhhh....paradise!

I booked too...

We are heading to the BVI's in March 09 and I couldn't stand the thought of how much MORE flight prices could go up - they went down about fifty bucks last Saturday and I bought them - flying Continental ROC to Newark then Newark to San Juan then Cape Air into Beef Island - Roc to San Juan was cheap...
