Flew to Florida several years ago. The CEO was on board handing out snacks. Nice customer service.

Re: underwater cameras

I got a GoPro knock off for $89 which included the underwater housing and many other attachments, 32 GB mini card and a selfie stick. It is a DBPower SJ4000 and I got it on Amazon. Has WiFi too. It takes nice pictures and underwater movies in HD.

Re: First time traveling with an 18 month old!

We took our son when he was eight months. We had a small pop up cabana to put him in when he got tired. He would sleep on the beach in the shade for hours. We had a house with a pool and spent some time in the pool in floats and he loved it. Most of the restaurants were good with him and would make ...

Re: Weather patterns

I agree Kevin. I think this may help the water situation on St John. I think this pattern will last a bit so hopefully it is not one big downpour, but a sustained period of showery weather. For the regulars who go down in May, they know the risk of the weather not being optimal.

Re: Stinging Plankton???

Not looking for and argument just solid scientific data. If I believed every article on google about climate change, we all should either be dead by now or living in another ice age.

Snorkeler525 - Do you have a scientific source for your statement about warmer ocean temperatures in regard to sea lice?

Re: Stinging Plankton???

I just returned from am 8 day trip to St John. My son and I were never stung. We were in the water every day, mostly on the North Shore beaches. I never heard anyone say they were stung while I was there. Seems like it's hit or miss.

Re: Chateau Bordeaux

I drove by the fence yesterday. It is probably 100 yards from where the restaurant is. I would never think to stop there, but it does block the view.

Re: Survey: power outages during your stay(s)?

We lost power on and off for a few days last August during and after TS Bertha. It was to be expected after the storm. No big deal except I could not get a smoothie from Columbo's.

It's like playing Russian roulette when it comes to flying with connections anymore. Heck, I even lost a bag for a day on a direct flight.

Re: A Long Air Travel Rant

I sympathize with your plight. I realize that sometimes you have make a stop in order to get to STT these days depending on where you fly out of. I learned years ago the San Juan is not where you want to stop in order to get to STT. If you can get to Newark, Boston, or JFK and take a direct flight t...

Re: Need a Jeep Rental- new question

I really like the on line reservation system Conrad Sutton has. You will hear back within 24 hours. He also always gives great service. One time the battery died and he was there in fifteen minutes swapping it out. He is a bit of a ball buster sometimes, but as long as you are cool with him, he is f...
