Rhumblines is a wonderful oasis tucked away in the middle of a busy Cruz Bay. Until you get inside, you wouldn't know it was there. The evening we dined there, live music was playing across the courtyard. We agreed it would be a fun spot for an evening out.

We started out with some items from the pupu menu. Ribs, fried quesadillas and chicken satay. All were wonderful in their own right with delicious dipping sauces matched to each item. We also ordered the duck appetizer and the pistachio crusted goatcheese over greens. Everything was very fresh and delicious.

For entrees we shared the plum glazed chicken and 2 special. One was a steak dish and the other was a lightly blacked mahi mahi with pineapple mango salsa and lump crabmeat. The steak dish was drenched in sauce- more than an enjoyable amount. The spices and sauce had permeated the meat and the flavor was very strong. It was a split decision at our table on that entree. The mahi was a disappointment. The fish was to be lightly blackened but it seemed to be steamed. The pineapple mango salsa was fresh and delicious but the combination of hot fish, cool salsa and mushy room temp crabmeat did not jibe. It was disappointing. The plum sauced chicken was a hit across the board.

A very bright point was the Rhumblines margarita. It is made with homemade simple syrup and fresh squeezed lime juice. The best margarite I've ever tasted.
