Zozos, at Gallows Point Resort, is another of our favorite St. John restaurants. If you can book a dinner reservation at the bar, I recommend it, because you will get an unobstructed view of the sunset. (Note that you have to order dinner to sit at the bar. There is a seating area behind the bar for people who just want a drink, but the view of the sunset is obstructed). The downstairs tables are nice too, if the bar is full.

We’ve never been disapppointed with the food at Zozos. This time, we started with the antipasto plate, which had a couple of different kinds of meats (prosciutto, salami, and, I think, breseola), some large artichoke hearts, fresh mozzarella cheese topped with pesto and tomato slices, parmesean cheese, roasted peppers, olives, asparagus, and greens. For entrees, I had the pistachio crusted mahi, which comes with a green salad featuring polenta croutons and warm goat cheese, and John had the Caribbean lobster, which came topped with crabmeat over an orzo salad. Both dishes featured impeccably fresh seafood with interesting flavors. Our dessert of zabaglione with blackberries was incredibly decadent tasting without being overly rich.

The wine list at Zozos always has unique choices, and there is a good by the glass selection. Service is always professional and attentive here. I highly recommend Zozos for a special meal.
