Excellent
We have always found the Banana Deck to be consistent; good food, good service, nice atmosphere. This last trip, we were not disappointed. It's still the same...even with all of the recent changes (especially with restaurants) in STJ.
It's not a "five star" establishment by any means but, if you want a decent steak, grilled fresh fish, pasta or just an appetizer, you are in for a treat.
We particularly enjoyed the spring rolls this year. As well, my Mahi Mahi was done perfectly. Pete had steak twice and was quite pleased on both occasions.
It's a casual place but could be your "fancy" place out if you want it to be. The lighting is very romantic and the steel drum player, when he's there, is wonderful.
We give this place a two thumbs up.
