I had two meals at the Fish Trap on a recent trip to St. John and both were great. One dinner was a salmon dish and the other red snapper. Obviously, neither come from local waters, but both were prepared perfectly and were very tasty. Side dishes, especially twice baked potato with broccoli and cheddar, were exceptional. The coconut cake dessert and the Belgian waffle were both outstanding.
The atmosphere is very low key and relaxed, not elegant and not pretending to be. Service was prompt. Nice and unpretentious place. All in all, very good meals for value given the generally high cost of dining on St. John. I will continue to count this as a reliable and regular favorite on future visits.
