Honeymoon Bay

This beach can be reached in fifteen minutes by walking along a hiking trail that starts from behind the National Park Service Center. It can also be reached by taking a taxi to Caneel Bay Resort, and walking from the parking lot until you come to the Guest Sign-up Desk. When the staff member inquires as to whether you are a guest at Caneel, just advise her that you wish to go to Honeymoon Beach. She will show you a level road that leads to the beach, and it is a relaxing ten minute walk.

If you are driving your own rental vehicle, proceed down the North Shore Road or Route 20 East 1.3 miles from Mongoose Junction. Take a left when you see two stone pillars on the left hand side of the road (this is the entrance to Caneel Bay Resort), and proceed down the entrance resort road until you come to a security guard house. You do not need to stop at the guard station, but bear left to enter into a parking lot. Walk to the steps leading to the resort, and you will come upon the Guest Sign-up Desk. At that point, follow the directions given above.

Honeymoon Beach is a coconut palm-lined beach with white sand and great snorkeling at either end of the beach. There are no bathroom facilities. It is a favorite spot for day charter boats, but not enough to make it crowded.
