Hawksnest Bay

The next picturesque beach along Route 20 East is Hawksnest Bay which is .5 of mile past Caneel Bay Resort. It is the closest beach when driving from Cruz Bay. You will recognize it by the spacious parking lot on the left hand side of the road. It is a long wide beach that has picnic tables and cooking grills, along with both changing rooms and bathrooms. It is great for groups with children as there is sufficient shade under the palm trees, and the water is calm. I would bypass Hawksnest Bay on the weekends as the picnic tables and facilities often draw sizable groups, especially on Sundays.
