Traveling down Route 20 East from Maho Bay, proceed .2 of a mile until you come to a fork in the road. Bear left onto an one-way road. About 1/2 mile further, you will come to an intersection and you turn left. Proceed .6 of a mile and you will come upon a sign that indicates that you should bear left to reach Francis Bay. Bearing right, you will travel for .2 of a mile down a gravel road to reach the parking lot which is about 20 feet from Francis Bay Beach.
Francis Bay is one of my favorite beaches. It is quiet, sandy, and known for the appearance of sea turtles in the calm water. Facilities include picnic tables and outdoor grills, and it is a great beach which is quiet and relaxing. There is a nearby nature trail which will lead you to a small salt pond behind the beach.
