What's yours?

Mine is to get back into working out and running and lose a size or two.

Also, to find another job to feed my obsession to the Islands.

Also, quit smoking. I hate to even admit that I smoke, but I'm working on it!

Be healthier. Work on more exercise. Using our hiking sticks more in the Rockies. Saving money for Italy. Saving money for house improvements in order to get it ready to sell when the market picks up. Choosing a retirement village in our 5 year plan. Selling our 3 rental properties and reinvesting them in our retirement property. Phew~!

Mine is simple. I am an exerciser. I work out 5 days a week in 1 1/2 hour sessions. Most of that is cardio. I kick box, do step aerobics, Zumba, and weight training. I love the gym and I love to exercise. It makes me happy and keeps me healthy both in body and mind and I think that helps me to be a better mom.

I started doing Zumba (which is latin & international inspired dance moves) last Summer and loved it so much that I decided I wanted to teach it so I became a certified Zumba instructor in October.

My New Years resolution is to actually use my certification and get my classes going. I hope to also become certified in my other fitness forms as well this coming Summer/Fall.

A very wise person once told me that no one should make New Year's resolutions. You should make daily resolutions that are easily attainable.

Today I will eat healthy
Today I will go to the Gym
Today I will get out of this bed and attack the day
Today I will take time for me
and so on

By the end of the year, you will have made a difference in your life and isn't that what it is all about anyway?

Chrisn,
I'm very interest in Zumba. A co-worker started latin dancing on her own and wow, what a difference it made in her figure! She lost 30 lbs and the muscle tone is amazing. My mom was raised in Cuba and I've always loved latin dancing. Please tell me more....

That is so true.
I have mantra that I change every so often
Mine right now is
I will be better
emotionally
mentally
physically
spiritually
I will

I repeat that every morning and every night before I go to bed.

Along with your thinking...

Every morning on my drive into work I repeat three things (always different each time) that I am thankful for. It always makes my day a pretty positive experience.

I need to reduce my weight. There have been too much eating and drinking in December and too little exercise. This Zumba sounds good. Wish we had the possibility here.
