Can't make a decision

After reading the recent iphone posts, I am starting to rethink my husbands offer on getting me an iphone. I told him I want to stay with sprint because it has the best service on St. John. (strange to make decisions based on a place I only make it to twice a year, I know). I can call from any beach, coral bay, maho bay, you name it and no weird roaming charges. Why change perfection? BUT, an iphone sure does sound nice, but AT&T?? I just don't know if I could get as good service from all over St. John.

I've been with AT&T for years and have never had a problem on STJ

I had an AT&T Go phone for my trip in November and noticed service from almost everywhere.
Santa surprised me with an iPhone for Christmas (I had a Blackberry with Verizon) and so far I am loving it.
It will be at least 2010 before other wireless companies will be able to offer the iPhone.

My AT&T cell (LG) worked fine in STJ
What did we do?

What did we all do without all this technology 10 to 15 years ago?
Exactly!

At&T worked fine for us on STJ. I think one area towards Coral Bay was a little questionable but no real issues for us.

For years, I had service with Cingular-now ATT and my partner with Sprint turned off her phone...you will have fine service with ATT..........

That's good to know that my Sprint/Nextel will work on Saint John. It doesn't work anyplace else!

I was pleasantly surprised with the ATT service in Coral Bay. I had pretty much expected to do most of my posting and calling from Cruz Bay but found I had a fine signal at the house.

hmmmmm. this is all so very interesting. maybe i should just go for it. i've been with sprint for 11 years now have ended up somehow with courtesy minutes every month and am reluctant to give that up

Honey's ATT phone kicked butt all over STJ. My Verizon and T-Mobile were both spotty at best. Someone correct me if I am wrong but I thought ATT was the preferred provider for STJ???
If that is your concern, I wouldn't hesitate to switch!

Our Nextel phone did not work on STJ during our May trip. We got a new Sprint phone for this past November and had no problems.

I'm a long time sprint customer but the service sucked from Coral Bay-- only roam over there. I'll be getting a new iphone this week-end, and am hoping for better coverage.
