Share charter to Jost Feb 3, 4 or 5th?

We will be on island from January 31st thru February 11th and we're looking for one other couple to share a day charter with us (either Lion in Da Sun or Flyaway out of Coral Bay). There are 4 of us and either of these boats hold 6. Our typical day is a quick snorkel, Foxy's, White Bay, Sandy Cay, bubbly pool (if it's working). We mostly focus on the bar crawl.

Let me know if you're interested.

we arrive on the 7th... can you go sometime around the 9th? If so, we'd be interested.

Hi, Tami,

Our friends leave on the 7th and we move to Estate Lindholm at that time. We could consider a second boat day on the 9th if we can get another couple to go (so we have 6). Boat days are always the best days!

Let's see if anyone else wants to share on the 9th.

hey Nancy,

We have two different groups of friends that are coming in around that time so we are considering chartering our own sail boat for that weekend. We may be going to Jost on the 4th with one group and the 8th with the second group. You guys are welcome to join us! That is if we can get the boat thing worked out. If not, we'll book a day boat with you and our friends (group of 5) can get a boat. That works perfect. We didn't know how else to get a group of 7 on one boat.

Hi, Deb,

How many in your group for the 4th? There will be 4 of us. If you have 4 too, then, we could book Capt Kevin with Born to Rhumb. The boat holds up to 12 and he's a great captain.

we have 5 friends and the two of us, so 7 total. If we can't get the charter sail boat worked out then your idea works great. Jay is supposed to get the details of the boat today so I'll let you know tomorrow.

Nancy,

How much is Born to Rhumb per person so I can tell my friends?

Deb, here is the info from his website:

$150 per adult
$120 – children 14 and under
$25 – children under 2

Minimum charge for the day $1,050 (7 adults) – Sundays and Holidays add $100 charge for overtime custom fees
Born to Rhumb accommodates any number up to 12 passengers.

Our rates include all drinks onboard, all customs fees into and out of the BVI, and all snorkel gear. The only extra cost guests should expect is the cost of lunch and/or snacks wherever they choose to stop, or any cost for lunch/snacks brought onboard for cruising.

New this year 2008–> Because of the ever-increasing cost of fuel, every trip will have a fuel surcharge between $100-$200, depending on the itinerary.

Hi, mrscaptainjay,

Any update on this?

Since it's high season, I'm thinking I should get something booked. If you are set with your sail, then, we may book Truman from Flyaway since he's out of Coral Bay and that's where we're staying.

Hey Nancy

Sorry I haven't checked in for awhile. Jay still hasn't worked out the details for a boat. So don't wait on us. Go ahead and book something and hopefully we can meet up.
