And....my cat died this morning

Buca, my favorite cat came in this morning from his morning sunning outside. As usual, he went right to his food. Within 5 seconds, he fell over and down 5 steps. I had just gotten up and my husband was in the kitchen. He went down to help him in some sort of way...any way he could.

I immediately went upstairs to get my jeans on. When I came back down he was gone.

This was MY cat. My favorite. The one cat who would sit, give his paw, do a High 5, sit pretty, bump heads with me, sit with me and love me.

I will miss him so much, that I can't stand it.

I put a blanket around him and held him like a baby and took him to the vets. I'm glad I did that.

Here he is....

So sorry for your loss. I sure wish that this stuff didn't happen around the holiday's. I bet he's playing with Tracy's George right now!

XOXO

Connie - My heart goes out to you. When my cat, Bob, died in April, it wasn't fast like that. At least Buca didn't suffer. I know how much you will miss him. Bob will welcome him at the Rainbow Bridge and they will roll in the catnip together.

Please accept my condolences...it's never a good time to loose a beloved pet. I know my pure white, gorgeous, gracious "Raindrop" and calico "May" are welcoming your handsome Buca to the rainbow bridge. Let them all enjoy their sweet lives there forever!

Connie -

You know that I know exactly how you are feeling today. I am so sorry for your loss. It breaks my heart. George is a cat lover and is certainly greeting Buca as I type with open paws up at Rainbow Bridge. Please read that poem, it really helped me.

The first full day without him was the worst since I expected him to be everywhere he normally would be and he just wasn't there. Remind yourself of all the good memories of your beloved cat and that may help to ease your sorrow as well.

I am so sorry and I am thinking of you.

Tracy

Connie,

When some of the initial shock has worn off, could you share with us exactly how this happened? I'm a wee bit confused by your explanation but totally understand that you were posting in the heat of the moment...

I am so, so sorry for your loss. These little creatures sure do become attached to us but even more, we become attached to them.
