Chip and I love to give (and receive gifts) so Christmas is big for us.
We did set a dollar limit, but that just gives us room to be creative.

All my gifts are in the window seat in the bedroom (behind the insulated curtains) but it is killing me that I don't know what he got me.
I know that I should let myself be surprised but it is so hard to not peek

no peeking!
Somehow I seem to always know what I am getting and I wish I didn't (sometimes) 8)

I'm a peaker and I'll admit it. I've always been a peeker.

When I was little I would find my presents, unwrap them, play with them, wrap them, and put them back. I learned to wrap really well at an early age
I even figured out the "Santa" thing because I found the presents that were all marked "Love Santa". I wasn't even disappointed, just happy I had more present to unwrap. It's terrible.

Today, I'm not so bad but I still like to know what's under the tree. My hubby goes to huge efforts to hide them from me but I usually figure them out. He gets so mad.

The funny thing is that one Christmas he did manage to suprise me with something that was great but not expeced at all. I actually cried when I opened it because I was so thrilled. I had never been surprised like that before.

I guess I should learn a lesson from that but I just can't help myself. Hi, my name is Michele & I'm a peeker"

Bug - I did the same thing as a child. I would gently slice the tape, see what I got, then re-tape the gift!

Now I harass people for hints. And finally, it comes down to me negotiating with my Mother. She will tell me what I'm getting, if I tell her what she's getting. We usually do this with just one present. I'll admit that being surprised is more fun though!

Oh Bug, you must be my younger sister!

I've been a peeker and re-wrapper since birth  Unfortunately, one year when I unwrapped, I ran out of tape before I got everything re-wrapped - BUSTED!!

I drive hubby nuts with my questions - has anyone every been divorced on grounds of hint nagging at the holidays?

This year Don has hidden everything quite well. He usually keeps them in his office and it's usually off limits to me, but this year the doors been open and he doesn't mind my visits. hmmmm! Can't wait for the surprises next week. My Christmas List contained everything from a tube of Chapstick to a Sailing yacht.
:D

I have peeked, but was always sorry that I did. A surprise is always nice.

I never peek! My gifts have been piling up in John's closet for the past month. I never look at them. Never.

OK, sometimes I look at the return address on the shipping label.

NEVER!! I would never peek, I love being surprised.

In fact, one Christmas when I was a teenager, I accidently came across some of my Christmas presents (still unwrapped) and got so angry at my mom for not hiding them better.

I'm a peeker and my husband knows it. And apparently it is a genetic trait. Our 3-year-old opened every present around 3 a.m. Saturday. (everyone's gifts) This is what a I woke up to find.

Ahhhh.... to be three and innocent again! Well, maybe "innocent" is the wrong word to use in this case! LOL!

I admit it -- I'm a peeker! But in the past few years it isn't even worth it anymore. Hubby and I always exchange Wish Lists with a spending limit, but recently he's just given up deciding what and what not to get and bought me everything on my lists. It takes the excitement out of peeking!!

Another peeker here. Same thing, used to open and re-wrap as a kid. These days, I get more excited about giving a great gift and having that someone special get ecstatic over it. On my list.....same ol thing.....another trip to the islands (please Santa please). Be Merry everyone!!!! Ali~
