After 5 days without power it's great to be listening to Watercolors and Michael Franks Under the Sun with a beer and heat (at low house was 42 degrees) and read this forum. Many in NH and Mass still have no power due to last Thursday's ice storm may not get until next week

Yeah, and we are getting another storm tomorrow. They are calling for a foot of snow in my area. Good thing I set up my plowing contract last month! He came by yesterday and put VERY tall poles at the edges of my driveway.
Glad your power is back, shoemak38!

Supposed to get a foot+ tomorrow, and then another storm coming for Sunday. My guess is that we will have a white Christmas. Time to grab the skis, and dream about STJ as I ride up the chairlift....Stay warm all my New England neighbors

Read in the news that there was snow in Malibu, CA and Las Vegas. This is a crazy winter so far.

Yeah, So. Calif is very snowy right now. Not where I live, but not far from where I live. The snow levels are very, very low and the Ortega Hwy. is closed due to snow on Riverside County line. The high desert (Palmdale) is blanketed in snow this morning and the freeway through there is closed. Even though we don't get snow in my area (too close to the beach, I think) it's been very cold for us - around 41 at night and 54 during the day. That's cold for here.
