Oh, I am so heartbroken right now. My dog, George, passed away this morning. He was a beautiful cocker spaniel and was with my husband and I for almost 15 years. Just last week before he became ill, I took this picture of him for our Christmas cards (he outranked the kids this year!). Little did I know then that he would be gone today. I had to shovel away his pawprints on the front walkway just now.

I am so sorry Tracy. I know how hard it is to lose a pet, they are a member of the family and it can be so tough.

So sorry about your beautiful cocker spaniel. 15 years is a long time to have a dog. You were indeed fortunate to have him that long. We lost our lab at 6 months and even in that short period she had become part of the family. I know that your dog was so much a part of your lives. Holiday time is such a terrible time to experience this loss. Thoughts and paryers go out to you.

So sad. They ask so little and give so much.

Tracy - Oh boy thats tough. He looks like a sweetie. I know you can't now, but when you get hit with a grief wave next week or next month, try to take comfort in the fact that 15 yrs is a good run and it wasnt prolonged at the end.

flip nailed it- they DO ask so little and give so much. it makes their loss that much more painful.

Tracy and Juice,

So sorry to hear about your dog. We lost our beloved Golden Retrevier in May and know how much part of the family they are and the hole they leave in it when they are gone. We wish you only happy memories of her in the days to come.

Our dog was named "Autumn", born in October and had fall colors. We buried her in our front yard and planned at Red Maple variety called "Autumn Blaze" over her. The fall colors of the "Autumn" tree this year (and for years to come) brought back fond memories of her.

Oh Tracy, I'm sooo very sorry to hear this. We lost our 15 yr. old cat in April and my boss just lost her 17 yr. old Doxie 2 months ago. It's so devastating, but somehow you get through it. My thoughts are with you and your family.
