I am not a scotch drinker (i will drink almost ANYTHING else

)
my husband is. he likes a good single malt--now i KNOW a bit about scotch, but i have never bought scotch in STJ.....never occurred to me.
however now i am thinking a bit of scotch for the dear boy might be in order--it being vacation and christmas and all.....
so, scotchdrinkers, is there anywhere to find a decent single malt in STJ?

I know my husband bought a bottle at Pine Peace - I forget which brand. And he's bought JW Blue down there to take home.

As a scotch drinker I can honestly say there's no such thing as bad scotch...And when you're in Paradise it all tastes great!!

The Macallan. the 12 year old shouldn't set you back too much, if you can find it.

The Mcallan 17yr old fine oak then.... and if you don't go through all of it, bury the bottle and send me a treasure map, I'll be there in April! Cheers!

My brother bought some good stuff at the liquor store at the airport. Glenfidich & McCallum. You can also buy it at the Starfish gourmet store across the hall from the Starfish Market.
Enjoy!

Hi Loria -
My single malt of choice is Glenlivet. It comes in a 12, 18 and 21 year old and is available on StJ. Captain Corner's may be the cheapest price but they usually have only the 12 yr in stock (it is located next to JJ's in the Cruz Bay park when you get off the ferry). Starfish usually has all 3 in their store.
The reason I like this the most (they'll all good) is the carmel finish and hints of honey. The older versions get richer, mellower and have a deeper amber color. I'm hoping my wife will get me a bottle for XMAS this year like she has done in some previous years. (hint my dear)
Let me know if your husband would like share a dram or two.
Best wishes,
Bob

FYI. Captain's Corner gets deliveries almost every week, so if you want something, you can sometimes place a special order with the manager and get it within a week.
