Regent's Secret?

Regent's Secret, an online 'members only' shopping site, was mentioned awhile ago in another thread. Has anyone had any luck with it?

I placed my first order on 10/20, and 20+ days later got an email that one of the items I ordered is out of stock. I'm still waiting to hear about the rest of the order, and of course it's been over a month. No one answers their phone, the voicemail is full, and I don't get answers to my online inquiries.

Luckily I didn't order much, so I'm not out too much money. (Yes, they charged my Visa as soon as I ordered.)

So, I'm figuring that I got scammed, or maybe they went out of business in the last month. Anyone have any info? Thanks!

I'd call my CC and let them know so that you aren't out the $$$$.

My rule is that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Thanks Gromit! I gave them until this morning to respond (am I stupid or what?!) and when they didn't (and now their phone number doesn't go through at all), I called Visa. Visa has credited my card the amount owed, which is great. :) Luckily it was a small purchase!

Normally I don't get suckered into this kind of thing, but it seemed that others on the Forum had used them successfully. I hope no one else is out any money. Today, Cyber Monday, is supposedly the biggest day for online scams, so be careful out there!

Hi
I always have had luck with Regents. I have bought probably bought from them 20 times or more. There website has not been up for a couple of weeks and they are not showing any future sales? I returned something to them and they gave me a RS credit for $60. I tried to call them too with no luck. I hope they didn't go out of business--but the way this economy is--Who knows.

Julie, you might want to contact your credit card company and see about a refund on the $60. When I couldn't get through to the number published on the RS web site, I tried the number listed next to the transaction on my Visa statement. They answered, said that RS was no longer at that location, and that "lots of other people have called looking for them too." Doesn't sound good for Regent's Secret, which is too bad for all of us who love a bargain on good merchandise.
