i mistakenly posted this in the off topic forum---

We're going to be at concordia over christmas--I am not sure whether we'll stay there for dinner on christmas or not--has anyone eaten at the concordia pavilion lately??? (we will definitely hit Maho for christmas eve and inner visions!)
you guys gave me great advice on where to get a birthday cake (christmas is my daughter's birthday)
so any idea of where to spend christmas dinner? WIll everything be open? ......(as the cooking facilities at the Concordia tents are somewhat rudimentary.......)
i figure i may need to make a reservation......
thanks...
...oh jeez, just realized i posted in off topic...that;s what multitasking gets you....anyone know how to switch this?

Hey Ioria. Went to Maho to see Inner Visions last year. It was awesome. You might want to have dinner in town first if you want something more fancy than what Maho provides.

Last year Inner Visions played the next week at Sputnik's in Coral Bay - which is right below our place on Seagrape Hill. We really love the quiet, local setting which really has great dancing with great Coral Bay folk and tourists alike.

By the way, have you heard their schedule over the holidays? I can't find it on the website. Thanks.

seagrape,
i believe that innner visions will be playing at Sputnik on thursdays again--saw them there MANY years ago. we missed them on our last trip (while they were there) as we arrived on thursday and left on a tuesday-
Last time we were in STj for christmas was 10 years ago--we saw them at Maho then too!
MJ: well yeah, of course it's a no brainer....

I'm sooo jealous!
We are looking to return over the first week of May...It seems so far away! Never stayed at Concordia, planned to, but other co-travelers insisted on villas. I'll get there...let me know how you like it?

MJ,
i have stayed at Concordia numerous times over the last 10 years (in fact it's the only place besides Maho that we've stayed!)--this year we are mixing it up a bit and doing a house and concordia...

I love that part of the island and I love the ecotents at concordia--it's hardly camping IMHO, and if you need a lot of amenities, it's probably not the right place, but sitting on the deck of p-13 practically over drunk bay looking out over rams head and watching the stars is a slice of heaven!
