Inexpensive place for one night on St. Thomas

My son and girlfriend need a place for one night - January 3, 2009 - on St. Thomas because their flights home are one day later than ours. The only requirements are that it be safe, they have their own bathroom and not too far from the airport and places to eat since they won't have a car. Oh, yeah, inexpensive too. Can anyone give us some recommendations?
Thanks in advance - I did try searching since I remember some fairly recent posts on this same topic, but I couldn't find them.

I just made a reservation at The Inn at Villa Olga. It's not too expensive ($150/nite) and it's in Frenchtown, not far from the airport, and walking distance to lots of places to eat and even walk to downtown.

my dad and sister had a reservation to stay there--and the proprietess could NOT have been nicer! unfortunately their flight got screwed up and they ended up being routed thru San Juan at the last minute--she gave them a full refund (and this was in March) I thought that was very decent.
I haven't stayed there but other's highly recommend the Crystal Palace and it really looks lovely--

Thanks for the suggestions! The Inn looks like it has availability and is definitely the right price.
Any other suggestions?

I hear the Crystal Palace is an awesome place, too! Ronnie, who owns it, is a forum member. It's a historical building and right downtown, so very easy access to all stores, restaurants & the ferry to St. John!

The main reason I chose Villa Olga is because it's right next to the yacht harbor, and we will be sailing, so easy access!

We like the Crystal Palace. I do get the rooms without bathroom ensuite because they are less expensive. The bathroom in the hall is shared by 3 or so rooms and was clean and perfectly fine for the four of us.

I agree with the Inn at Villa Olga. I stayed there a couple of years ago and it was perfect for my two nights. It is within walking distance to a few restaurants, and bars. There was even a McDonalds just at the entrance to their drive. I Spent more than a few hours at Betsy's bar, and the people were so friendly! Here are a few pictures:
view from my balcony

snorkeler,
i am in a similar situation --my family leaves on the 3rd and i flyout on the 4th--would your son and his girlfriend want to share a cab to the airport in the morning? (if they are staying at Villa Olga) My flight leaves at about 8:30 am on Sunday the 4th
