Merry Christmas Eve everyone!
Spent yesterday afternoon figuring out how to upload some of the photos to the web. Think you should be able to see them here at :

Our last 2 trip days were just goofing off, lounging around and driving around to the favorite beaches again. Stopped in at Cruz Bay for lunch at Sogo's next to Conrad Sutton's-good West Indian food-conch & goat if you're up for it; big platters of veggie food, big drinks for the price too. A thumbs up! Picked up a St. John flip flop necklace at the St. John Bracelet store-the help/owner wasn't very personable, but I liked the necklace.
Ate at the Beach Bar-they give you a lot of food for the price, and great burgers in my opinion!
Our flight back home didn't leave until 4 on Sunday, so we packed up, dropped off the car and ate a late breakfast at JJ's. Hung out there for a while, then just sat in the sun on the benches in the park. We watched the street department guys (?) chopping off the palm tree branches on the trees by the dock so that the Christmas lights that were wrapped around the tops would show up better. Coming from the Buffalo area, it was surreal.
Took the 1pm ferry to Red Hook. Think it was $10 for 2 plus you tag your bags for $2 each. Forgot to mention, but on the CA ferry to Cruz Bay it's best to have exact change- our total was $20+ and we had $30 and had to wait until everybody else went through and he had change.
The cab ride from RH to the airport was $30 for 2, plus tip.
Airport line wasn't bad-we got there about 2pm, customs was grumbly, and the security check line was a little long, but we've seen worse, and the flight was on time. Back through Philly and surprisingly got into Buffalo a 1/2 hr early.
Another totally great vacation. Every trip we learn new things and see new things. We usually try to stay over on STT for a night, but will rethink that for the next trip. Unless you're really big into the shopping there, it's just not that necessary if your goal is STJ. We liked bringing food-didn't do the meat thing, but more packaged stuff. St. John Passion was a beautiful location-pluses of the pool, hot tub and full sun were key. This was a splurge for us, it's our 20th anniversary in May and in the farming business our work schedules don't let us get away then so we opted for doing it now. 'Course once you've scaled up, it's harder to scale back
But with all the beaches a pool isn't a necessity!
Thanks for all the responses to the previous posts. Good luck to all in your own planning and happy holidays!
