Looking for large family-style villa

I am starting to plan a trip for this upcoming summer and need a 5 or 6 BR villa that is kid friendly.

So far my (very) short list includes Oceana and Ristaba - these two seem to fit my budgetary constraints - what other villas should I look into?

I love Vistaero (destinationstjohn). Amazing views, 5 bedrooms, huge pool, hot tub - I loved it so much I booked it 2 years in a row!!

We were also looking for a large kid-friendly house with 4-5 bedrooms that had interior access/connected. Here was our short list:

Catered to: Crystal Seaview, Avalon
Destination St. John: Vistaero (no connecting bedrooms, but 3 of them have sleeper sofas in them)
Villa Rendezvous
Island Getaways: Tesori
Seaview Homes: Villa Villekula
Vacation Vistas: Oceana, Ristaba

Petepie,

Take a look at Casa de Sonadores. All rooms contained inside one building.

We rented Chateau Margot from Kathy at Island Getaways last year. It's a nice house and kid friendly (they have a fence you can put up around the pool which we used because of our (at the time) 2 1/2 year old grandaughter. We loved the location and the house. We had a large group and used all the bedrooms. They are not all equal and two of the bedrooms in the main house share a bath if that makes any difference to you. PM me if you are interested and have more questions.

Check out La Papaya.
Very close to Cruz Bay and the Westin which can be nice for kids. 8)

We're staying at Villa St. John in December. It is a 4 bedroom main house with a 2 bedroom cottage if that would work for you. In slow months you can rent them separately. It's on Chocolate Hole, has steps to the beach so you don't even have to leave the villa to get some beach/snorkeling in.

We stayed at Ristaba in 2004 and did a review. It was great for our VERY large crowd and Lisa was wonderful to deal with. It is in a very good location and the kids in our group enjoyed going to the Westin and seing the iguanas.

One note, the pool is a deep pool. At 5'3" and 3/4 (hehehe - I count every inch I can), I could only stand up in the shallow end. They did have lots of things to float on.

The house is well stocked so definitely check before you go to the grocery or the liquor store. One of the things I like about renting from Lisa is that she doesn't clean out everything that was left behind.

If you have any questions about it, feel free to pm me.

We did Crystal Seaview this past summer, it's certainly big enough for you, 5 bedrooms. It's really nice, but the Pond Bay luxury beachfront living construction probably isn't that good to look at from your back deck :( But I wonder why they call it it luxury beach front when it's in Chocolate hole on that green colored salt pond? :?

Hi Jorge! Yeah I miss you guys... I joined this thing called Facebook and all of a sudden I was overwhelmed by old high school friends, old boyscout troop buddies and friends I haven't talked to in 5-10 years and I was hooked in. But I am slowly dragging my feet back into the Forum :D

We've stayed at La Jolla Caribe a number of times. It's great for large family and friends; it's 5 bedrooms, but the media room has 2 futons and can serve as a sixth.
