SOTBII Trip Report Day 3

This is boat trip day with Captain Rev Stu. This was also bachelorette party day! 7 of us went on this trip and 2 had to stay behind. One of the girls needed to be near phone service since her mom was hospitalized back home. Another sister stayed with her at the Villa to keep her company. We really missed them. Next year my friends!

So we all got ready and piled in 2 Dodge Nitros. We arrived at the dock just a few minutes late. We hopped aboard the boat and filled out that pesky paperwork necessary to enter the BVI's. Then off we go! We stopped at Waterlemon Cay for snorkeling. Here are a few pics of the girls getting ready for that:

I have this silly fear of things under water, so I stayed on the boat with Stu. He finally convinced me that he had scared all the fish away and that I should jump in. I did it! We had a fun time swimming and talking in the water. Stu is a great guy and I will definately go boating with him again.
Here's a shot of me in my bachelorette hat/veil:

Eventually the brave snorkelers returned to the boat and we headed off to Jost. We got there very quickly and the approach was beautiful. Stu anchored the boat very close to shore so we could hop off, put our bags over our heads and stroll on to the beach. Thanks Stu! I will post the rest of the pics at the end.
1st stop, One Love. We all got a bushwacker. YUM. Then we all ordered burgers from Jewell's Snack Shack. She was very nice and got all orders exactly right. The burgers were excellent. After lunch we walked over to the Soggy Dollar Bar for Painkillers and shopping. Mission accomplished! Next, censor=censor =bleep=bleeeep.
OK, back to One Love for more drinks, like we needed them. The veil cap was screaming "buy those girls drinks". We politely accepted. We met some nice people and signed our names on the bar.
The day went by so fast and before you know it, it was time to get back on the boat. CypressGirl ran the boat back to STJ. She did a great job, it was such a smooth ride. Thanks Cyp! And Thank You Sisters for a wonderful day!!

Continuation of the day...

Jayseadee and I were the only ones who went to the Beach Bar forum party. We arrived a little late, but found that there were still a lot of forum members present. Even though we had learned earlier at One Love that Bug and her husband were the surprise guests, I was glad to see her and Ed at the Beach Bar! Jayseadee and I ate dinner and talked to the remainig forum members and then went home and called it a night.

Sounds like a wonderful day on the water! Since 'One Love' was your 1st stop where did Capt Rev Stu take the boat to clear your group through BVI Customs and Immigration?

Hi,

Captain Stu cleared customs on Tortola - Soper's Hole, I think - or whatever marina is close to the Jolly Roger.

yes, Sopers Hole in West End Tortola - close by the waterlemon snorkeling spot - that makes it easier -- as long as you can get in and out while there are no ferries!

You guys are doing a great job on the trip report! I'm loving all the great pictures!

Ksea - I had to laugh at the mental picture this line put in my head: "...put our bags over our heads and stroll on to the beach."

I get this image of you all with grocery bags over your heads. Remember the "Unknown Comic"? LMAO!!

I like this one from that day too. I love the color of the water. I saved it on my desktop.

Great report and pictures. White Bay is quite possibly my favorite beach. No trip to STJ is complete without a trip to Jost :D . If we don't do a boat day this trip, we will definitely take the ferry over. Looking forward to the rest of the installments.
