I just ordered a Turducken through our local seafood store for Thanksgiving.

Has anyone ever cooked one? Maybe Nothingtolose has experience with this as it is a Cajun specialty?

Make sure you give it plenty of time to defrost!!! Three days if its frozen hard.

Our family cooked one 2 years ago and it was pretty good. It took longer than advised though. Not sure if that was due to their specific oven or what, but it did take longer than prescribed. We all honestly thought it was overrated. It was good, but we have not ordered one since.

Ditto on RickG's defrost recommendation, very critical. They take much longer then you think to defrost when fully frozen.

Also recommend using a remote temperature probe, if you have one, to track the internal temperature as it cooks.

Enjoy, its a fun tasty dish.

Amazing what I learn on this forum.
